Sadly, we didnt win this years awards but we will be trying again next year. However, what was excellent to get back from the Awards was some anonymous feedback from our recent clients as to what they thought about us, and the comments have really made us both smile.

Shoot with Jenson John

I love doing portrait shoots with newborn babies, but this one was extra special since its my first nephew Jenson John. And what better gift to give than his own personal shoot with RSW Photography!

Portrait Shoots with newborns are great, and its definitely important to capture these pictures as they grow up so fast. In the 3 weeks since I did these pictures he's already bigger and changing every day. I was really lucky that Jenson was a natural in front of the camera, and quite happily let me take pictures for about 2 hours on a saturday night whilst his mum and dad (and my wife!) watched X factor. He even pulled some excellent poses!

Warrington Wolves Halliwell Jones Wedding Fayre

New Wedding Packages

We're really pleased to show off my new wedding packages that are now available to book, and are already proving very popular. I now truly believe that we offer a package for everyone, including our new addition of our bespoke Graphistudio Albums.

We meet all of our potential clients prior to booking at their home, and we meet again prior to the wedding at the venue. We have a secure online gallery which will be uploaded with between 200-300 images from your day to chose from and to share with your friends and family. It is possible to order additional prints or wall images to build on these packages, and they make ideal gifts for Family and Friends.

The majority of our packages come with approximately 10 hours coverage as standard, from Bridal Preparation right through to the First Dance. The only exception to this is the brand new DVD only package that we have added based on customer feedback to allow for those weddings that happen later in the day, or where the couple require reduced coverage.

So here's a bit more information about our new packages...Starting off, we offer a DVD only Package for just £495. This package provides 30 Images chosen by you from your day. This Package has a reduced coverage of 6 hours, and is perfect if you are just looking for a shorter coverage of the day, for example, from the ceremony up to Speeches.

Now to tell you about the packages we offer with Full coverage of the day from Bridal Preparation through to first dance.

We have brand new DVD and Album Package for £800. This gives you a fantastic 6x6 Album containing approximately 20 images from your day, and the DVD contains these 20 plus an additional 20 images of your choice. This Package offers coverage from Bridal Preparation right through to first dance.

Our improved 10x10 Album Package is £1000, and now includes an engagement shoot. This package provides approximately 50 Images chosen by you from your day. This is a beautiful 10 Page Album, which comes as standard with an image printed on the front cover. All images are printed flush onto the pages to give a storybook feel. This package also comes with an 8 x 6 inch framed desk print from your Engagement Shoot, and also a 10 x 8 inch framed desk print from your Wedding day.

Our Alternative Album Package is a new 14x10 15 page Album which costs £1250, and also includes an Engagement Shoot. This package will have approximately 70 Images chosen by you from your day. This is a similar album to the 10x10 Album above, with an image printed on the cover as standard and the images printed flush onto the pages, and it also comes with an 8 x 6 inch framed desk print from your Engagement Shoot, and also a 10 x 8 inch framed desk print from your Wedding day.

It is possible to personalise your albums with alternative covers to really make the album unique to you.

We also now offer Graphistudio Albums, which are fully bespoke to your needs. Prices start from £1500 for an Album Package with full coverage from Bridal Preparation to first dance, but we will work with you to build whatever you need.

Jennie and Paul, Peckforton Castle

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be asked to be the Photographer for this lovely couples vows renewal.

Jennie was getting ready with the kids and her Mum, Sister and Niece when we arrived, so we got some lovely images of them getting ready, including some great shots of the details, like Jennies fantastic shoes!

Before we knew it, it was time to start the ceremony. It was perfect, focusing purely on them and their family in a fantastic venue. The vows renewal took place in the chapel, which is absolutely stunning and gave us the backdrop to some fantastic images.

The weather held off, so we spent most of the afternoon on the lawn - and the kids had a great time running around with me trying to get their pictures!

I took Jennie and Paul away into the castle to get some beautiful intimate shots of the two of them together in the Great Hall. Peckforton Castle is a really fantastic venue, with so much to look at!

Once Jennie and Paul were sat down with their family to have a lovely meal, we took a few more shots and then left them to enjoy the evening with their nearest and dearest - although I was slightly jealous that they were having a Murder Mystery evening to round off the day!

Portrait Shoot - Rebecca

Thought I would share some pictures from yesterdays shoot with Rebecca. Was great to get out and do some more location work, even if we did get told off by a farmer!

As Rebecca is looking to be a model, I wanted to create something a little bit different from the usual portrait shots, so I was shooting on location using off camera lighting to create some really different styles across the shoot.

We are very pleased to announce that we can now offer Thank You Cards, complete with images of your choice from your Wedding Photographs as part of our wedding packages.

This is a lovely keepsake to be able to send to your guests to say Thank You for sharing your special day, and it is completely personalised with your own images - we can offer up to 10 different designs per order, so that you can vary the cards you are sending out to different guests!

Thank You Cards are at the great price of £1.50 per card including envelopes, with a minimum order of 50 cards, then add additional bundles of 25 cards as needed.

So as an idea, this means.....

50 Cards will cost £75
75 Cards will cost £112.50
100 cards will cost £150

Thanks to feedback from our lovely Brides and Grooms, we have launched a brand new package!

We are now very pleased to offer a DVD package with 30 High Resolution images for you to reprint as you see fit, with 6 hours coverage, for the amazing price of £495!

This means that you, the client, can chose whether you want us to be there for the bridal preparation, or whether its more important to you that we capture the first dance - its entirely up to you! And if you cant decide, speak to us about adding extra hours of coverage at a reasonable price.

So long as the 6 hours are consecutive, we'll be there! Its your big day, so we want to make sure that you have us there when you want us most.

The CD case will be etched on the front with whatever you would like, we would recommend your names and the date. There are 4 colour options as well - Black, Navy, Burgundy or Tan.

Engagement Shoot - Mel and Neil

I had the great pleasure of shooting this Engagement Shoot for Mel and Neil as a prize through www.hitched.co.uk.

They picked a fantastic location - Jesmond Dene in Newcastle, and on a day where we went through all the seasons, but we had a great afternoon, and got some great pictures.

I really enjoy location shoots, and this is one that I am really pleased with. The images shooting into the light give a really soft effect which is really beautiful and perfect for an engagement shoot.

All the best with the forthcoming wedding Mel and Neil, and I hope that you like the images.

Based on client feedback, all packages come with a framed 10 x 8 print, however, your portrait package can be tailored entirely to you with DVDs, Albums, Framed Prints, Canvas and Acrylic Prints and many other options available. Package 1 - Within your own home - £49 (90 minute photoshoot, including a 10 x 8 framed print)

Package 2 - On location - £69 (90 minute photoshoot, including a 10 x 8 framed print)

Fantastic Cakes......

Hey Green Hotel, Marsden

One of the best venues I have ever had the pleasure of working at!

Jen and Lee chose to get married at Hey Green Hotel in Marsden, was a lovely, laid back day with excellent speeches!

The venue itself is brilliant, its really intimate, with stunning grounds.

Although the venue itself is a little out of the way, that added to the magic of the day, as there was no passing traffic - the only sound apart from us were the cows nearby!

The Bridge Hotel, Prestbury

Amanda and Paul got married at The Bridge Hotel in Prestbury. It was a great venue, much bigger than it first appears as you are driving up, with lovely rooms and a fantastic ceremony room.

They also had a steel band, who were fantastic. The hotel is on the banks of the river, which is lovely and peaceful, with a great reception room and Terrace for the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception.

The weather wasnt great, but that didnt put us off.....we got some fantastic images, and the steel band made it feel like Summer!

Cranage Hall, Cranage

Here is another of my favourite weddings - Chris and Georgina had a fantastic day, with a lovely Church Ceremony followed by a reception at Cranage Hall.

It was one of those days where we were very lucky with the weather - when we wanted it to be dry, it was!

Georgina's mum had made the bridesmaid dresses, the wedding cake and a few other bits along the way, and they looked fantastic!

Its a great venue, has character but is modern as well. The grounds are lovely, with large lawns and a lovely entrance.

Belle Epoque Knutsford

I thought I'd take the opportunity to share some images from some of my favourite weddings. I photographed the wedding of Peter and Tracey Ellis at Belle Epoque, Knutsford.

Its a fantastic venue for a wedding, really intimate with exclusive use. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of Knutsford, with Tatton Park just at the end of the road.

I've not updated my Blog for a while......its been a busy few weeks bringing together the last few albums from 2010, and visiting clients for 2011 / 2012!

Now the weather is starting to brighten up, I'm hoping to get out and get more location shoots underway. I'll upload some images as I go along, but if you are interested in having a portrait shoot, get in touch!

The facebook page is going well, we're starting to get a few more followers which is great, although still not as many as we would like so please recommend us to your family and friends.
